Auricular Acupuncture is based upon the diagram of an upside down fetus imposed upon the ear and corresponds to the body's structure and physiological functions. Sterile needles or processed vaccaria seeds on surgical tape will be placed on the ear for treatment. The points selected will treat bodily dysfunctions or diseases, to modify or prevent pain perception, or to normalize the body's physiological functions to help decrease stress, and assist in the treatment of addictions, weight loss, and detoxifications.

Auricular acupuncture can treat stress and its symptoms, addictions, weight problems, and many types of pain.

Acu-detox involves the insertion of five small needles and/or seeds on specific locations on both ears, which stimulate the detoxification of chemical substances from the body and controls withdrawal symptoms.

Acupuncture is a safe and effective method of treatment. Potential adverse effects include but are not limited to bruising, bleeding, swelling, pain or some discomfort, numbness, tingling, or soreness at the insertion sites.

"Scars are the causes of prolonged effects that an injury, while seemingly healed, continues to have on the body.

Scars are the body's healing mechanisms that arise as a result of accidents, surgeries, disease, etc. They can be raised, flat, red, brown, purple, pink, short, long, linear, or round. The way a scar forms depends on many factors such as age, health, skin type and color. Most scars are a combination of non-elastic tissue, insufficient blood supply, and oxygen/nutrient deprivation to the affected area. Localized adhesions result that pull on the surrounding tissues and can affect digestion, circulation, and respiration. Muscle and organ function in the area can become impaired; the scar serves as a constant source of irritation to the body, reminding it of the initial damage. The body unconsciously feels injured and traumatized.

Acupuncture can help break up scar tissue, increase circulation, and oxygenate and improve cell nutrition. The scar is needled superficially where there are adhesions and 'valleys."
